    Should do this

Interesting. I didn’t know they charge for WIFI service in their stores. That sucks, frankly.

I live in Portsmouth, VA, near Norfolk & Virginia Beach. Our little city doesn’t have a Starbucks, but they just announced that they’ll be building one about five blocks from where I live. Perhaps I’d go if the WIFI was free. As it is, I can go to the DAILY GRIND or STARBOARDS or the OLDE TOWNE CAFE and get wifi with my coffee. If Starbucks wants to supply me daily caffeine, they’ll likely have to do more than charge 4 bucks for the coffee and another whatever for the Internet.

    Should do this

Today people are able to access the web from more places on more devices. Cities have begun planning on how to blanket their cities as giant free wi-fi areas. So why does Starbucks continue to charge its customers for internet access? Especially when I can go over to a little local independent spot that typically provide free Internet service? Starbucks comes out looking like antiquated, money sucking bullies on every block that say they want to foster community – but instead look to exploit it every way possible.
Hey Starbucks, lighten up and give us a free hot spot with that 4 dollar hot caffe’ latte.
